On Saturday PJ had asked if she could get her ears pierced. When she asked she was thinking at that second. I told her she can get her ears pierced but it would have to be on Sunday. She was happy with that answer.
All day Sunday she said she was ready to get her ears pierced.
When we got to the mall, she had apparently changed her mind and was not ready to pierce her ears. But I told her we should at least go and check it out.
When we got to the store she got very quite and reserved. I told her which earrings I think she should get and I told her we would talk to the lady at the store and see if she could pierce her ears today. Of course the lady said she would be ready to pierce her ears shortly. PJ remand quite but didn't complain or say no. We just kept giving her pep talks!"Grandma will be so surprised" "What do you think your Cousin will say" and she seemed excited.
The lady that worked at the store cleaned her ears, marked the spot on her ears where the earring would go and then it was showtime!
PJ sat on my lap very still and watched two little girls who were playing in front of her on the floor. The ladies pierced her ears and PJ didn't even jump or cry. She was very tough!
After the event we walked around the mall a little bit. And she begin to realize she had pierced ears. She stopped the sales people at the mall to show them her new pierced diamond earrings. She walked through the mall with her chin high and a swing in her walk.
She is very proud of herself for not crying! She said it didn't even hurt. She says she is very brave.
We picked out cubic zirconia earrings but she thinks they are diamonds. She is showing everyone her diamonds!
She is getting so big!
