GMC is now 19 months old and has recently shown interest in the potty chair. I have been putting him on the potty chair and teaching him to go pee every once in a while. No hurry because he is still young. When he does go pee we reward him with a treat and praise him for being such a good boy.
Last night at dinner I noticed that he was leaning to the left and had a look on his face that he may need to go potty. I asked him if he needed to go poop and he said "poop". I unhooked him from his booster seat and expected him to hide under the kitchen table and do the duty but he didn't he just stood there looking at me. I asked again if he needed to go poop and he again said "poop". I asked if he wanted to go on the potty chair. And before I could stand up he was running to the bathroom door. I followed him in and removed his clothes and diaper and he sat on the potty. He pretended to pee but nothing happened. I told him to go poop and left the bathroom. A few seconds later I peeked around the corner and he was still seating on the potty chair. I was shocked maybe he is really going to go poop. Just as I sat back down at the table with PJ I heard the door close. I jumped up and ran to the bathroom to find him grossed out because he had poop stuck to his finger. We hurried and did the hurray dance and cheered for him and then whisked him off to the bath tub. I still can't believe my little baby used the potty chair for #2! I am still expecting the potty training process to take a while but maybe he will surprise me and be a quick learner! I look forward to the day when I don't have to buy diapers anymore.
